As a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, CQL produces both SEM and Cat products. SEM is one of the key product brands of Caterpillar and its product portfolio includes wheel loaders, soil compactors, motor graders, dozers and wide-body trucks. To meet the increasing demands of global customers, Caterpillar has increased the investment and made expansion at CQL facility since 2009. In Qingdao, Caterpillar set up a world-class research and development center with experienced engineers from Caterpillar global R&D networks to continuously develop innovative products to meet the requirements of customers from all over the world.
In China, SEM machines are sold through a network of over 60 SEM dealers, owned and operated by local entrepreneurs. Outside of China, SEM products are sold mainly through Caterpillar dealerships with dedicated SEM channels, covering more than 100 countries. Key export regions for SEM machines include Asia Pacific, Latin America, Eurasia, and Africa and Middle East.
