In order to address the huge and negative impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the global economy and trade, the Chinese Government proposed in May 2020 a major initiative to expand effective investment, focusing on supporting the construction of "two new and one heavy" projects oriented to people's livelihoods and supporting the expansion of domestic demand, that is strengthening the construction of new types of infrastructure and new types of urbanization, and strengthening traditional transportation, water conservancy and other major projects.

► Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) announced to build about 775 km of intercity railway projects and five integrated transport hub projects.

►30 lines of urban rail projects were approved in 12 regions in 2019 and are being fully constructed in 2020.

► A number of key high-Speed Railway projects will be carried out and speeded up

► House construction will keep and maintain the current large scale of construction level for steady and sustainable development.

► According to the relevant data analysis, the total investment in the national energy power market in 2020 exceeds 70 billion USD.

► By 2025, 136 new airports will be built in addition to the existing (including those under construction) airport layout, and 370 national civil transport airports will be planned, forming three world-class airport clusters, 10 international hubs and 29 regional hubs.

Mr. Qi Jun, Chairman of China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), made a key speech at BICES 2021 press conference held on August 28, 2020 and pointed that China construction machinery market and industry achieved slightly growth in the first half of 2020, despite the impact of the epidemic, which is contribute to the remarkable results of China's epidemic prevention and control work. As per CCMA’s statistics, domestic sales of the main 12 category of construction equipment in the first 7 month of 2020 increased by 18% accumulatively on a year-on-year basis, and exports increased by 3.46%.
