The press conference of the 13th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2015) was successfully held atNo.2 exhibition hall of Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Russia on June 3, 2015, the next day after the 16th CTT was opened.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Ban Yubing, head of International Department ofBeijing Asiamachine International Convention & Exhibition Ltd. (BAICE), sponsor of BICES 2015. Mr. Su Zimeng, vice chairman &secretary general of China Construction Machinery Association, Mr. QiaoJian, the general manager of BAICE,Mr. Anatoly, general manager of Exhibition and Meeting Department of Russian Chamber of Commerce in Construction, and Ms. Zhang Yanmei, deputy general manager of XCMG Import & Export Company attended the conference.Other participants included Russian construction users and representatives such as Mr. Joseph, deputy secretary-general of Turkish Engineering Machinery Association, Mr. Malov, chairman of Russia Road Contractors Association and other Russian construction organizers and representatives, together with BICES 2015 visitor delegation in Russia and Chinese exhibitor representatives like XCMG, Liugong, Sinomach, Changjiang Engineering Crane, Changjiang Hydraulic and Bonny, as well as Russian media. The total participants reached to over 80.
At first, Mr. QiaoJian,the general manager of BAICE, briefed Russian media outlets, partners and industry insiders on BICES’s history and the features of this exhibition. His speech focused on the preparation, progress and service improvement of BICES 2015, particularly on the value-added services provided by the sponsor for Russia’s professionalattendees, such as online registration, invitation letters free of charge, the organizationof Sino-Russian forum, etc.
As a representative of exhibitors, Ms. Zhang Yanmei, deputy general manager of XCMG Import & Export Company, shared her experiences in attending all BICES sessions. She also told the attendees that XCMG will exhibit its entire product lineup at BICES 2015. On behalf of all BICES exhibitors, she invited Russian buyers, users and industry insiders to come to Beijing for BICES 2015 in September this year to seek trade opportunities.
Mr. Anatoli, general manager of the Exhibition and Meeting Department of Russian Chamber of Commerce in Construction, entrusted byMr. Kushman, chairman of Russian Chamber of Commerce in Construction, and on behalf of the Chamber, introduced thefruitful cooperation between the China Construction Machinery Association and the BICES. Mr. Anatoli also told participators and the members of the Chamber thatRussian Chamber of Commerce in Construction will lead a delegation to attend BICES 2015 and invited Russian contractors and construction enterprises to actively join the delegation.
Mr. Su Zimeng, vice chairman & secretary general of China Construction Machinery Association, gave an impromptu keynote speech. He cited data to evidence that China has become a large and strong construction machinery manufacturer in the world. He also expounded the five strengths of China’s engineering machinery manufacturing industry in terms of products and technology, brand, cost performance, comprehensive development and services. Lastly, Mr. Su, on behalf of Chinese engineeringmachinery industry, exhibitors and the sponsor of BICES 2015, sincerely invited Russian buyers, user representatives and professionals to attend BICES 2015 in Beijing this September to discuss bilateral trade, cooperation and investment opportunities to jointly promoteSino-Russian trade and cooperation to a new high.
After the pressconference, many Russian media outlets had an interview with Mr. SuZimeng.Mr. Malov, chairman of Russia Road Contractors Association, and Mr. Anatoli, general manager of the Exhibition and Meeting Department ofRussian Chamber of Commerce in Construction, respectively negotiated and communicated with the association and the exhibition agency about the business issues that they will lead a delegation to attend BICES 2015.
BICES 2015is scheduled to officiallyinvite Russian visitors after this press conference. With the joint efforts of the sponsor, organizer, exhibitors, Russian partners and media workers, there will be more and more Russian buyers, users and visitorsto attend the BICES 2015.
