BICES 2021 Exhibition Preparation Report

Our organizers and operation team have been preparing for the next edition of the BICES 2021 show since the successful conclusion of BICES 2019. On March 10, 2020, China Construction Machinery Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as“Association”) held a webinar in Beijing and announced that the theme of the "16th China Beijing International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition & Seminar (referred to as “BICES 2021”) dated September 14 -17, 2021 at China International Exhibition Center New Venue (Beijing) was determined to be "Digital, Efficient, Green and Reliable". BICES 2021 strives to become a big showcase stage for global construction machinery brands, become the wind vane of China's construction machinery industry, a grand event for global construction machinery industry with significant influence, even an annual leading industry event in Asia. Now, I’d like to report on the progress of the preparations of BICES 2021 on behalf of the organizers and the operation team.

I. Hold BICES 2021 with High Quality and Further Playing of the five major advantages of the exhibition. BICES grown into an industry event with five major advantages today through the 32 years of trials and tempers, the efforts and supports from the organizers, supporters, suppliers, exhibitors and visitors, etc.

After 70 years of the growth and more than 40 years of rapid growth of reform and opening up, especially the "new era" of construction machinery industry high-quality development, China has become a country with capacity of the full coverage of the construction machinery products and manufacturing in the world. II. BICES 2021 Theme Exhibition Area Design

1. Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Exhibition Area

In the spirit of promoting the supply-side structural reform of the industry and guiding the high-quality development of the industry, the theme of the Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Exhibition Area was selected as "Striving for a New Era, Casting a New Brilliance". The exhibition area initially planned four plates: First, the industry review of scientific and technological innovation achievements, showcasing the enterprises, products and technologies that had won science and technology awards in the past years; Second, the new era of scientific and technological innovation and development achievements, showing the technology progress results of the construction machinery industry since the "12th Five-Year Plan" and "13th Five-Year Plan", including major products and technologies, major contributions in major projects of national economic construction, the ability of the construction machinery industry to exert its advantages in the three major offensives, epidemic prevention and control as well as emergency rescue etc.; Third, displaying the new products and release process that were premiered on the BICES stage which as the premiere platform for new technologies, new products and new methods in the construction machinery industry and leading the industry's wind vane of scientific and technological development; Fourth, a number of symbolic products, enterprises, events, people and projects with important influence in the development of the industry will be recorded and displayed. The preliminary design of the exhibition area is more than 200 meters long exhibition boards with pictures and explanatory text as the main display publicity mode.

2. Green Development Exhibition Area

Green development is an important symbol of high-quality development in construction machinery industry. The organizer of BICES pays a great importance to the demand for green development and technical exchange in the industry, and has repeatedly carried out technical exchange activities and special zones for exhibition and display at the exhibition, receiving great attention from exhibitors, visitors and users. Green development involves many aspects of the construction machinery industry, including green manufacturing, green construction technology and equipment, energy conservation and emission reduction, remanufacturing and recycling, and so on. This theme exhibition area mainly displays shield machine and other tunneling machinery and construction machinery, high-end equipment and construction solutions. At present, some of our major construction projects, special construction work environment for construction machinery major technical equipment and high-end equipment put forward higher and higher requirements, construction machinery industry is also very necessary in the display of our new research and development of high-end equipment, and development of new high-end equipment with the user to carry out research according to the need for continuous improvement. The platform of the exhibition combining exhibition and communication will promote progress in this area

4. High-end Components & Strong Foundation Exhibition Area

This theme exhibition hall mainly displays various types of construction machinery supporting parts, including hydraulic parts, transmission components, chassis, attachment, tools, and basic parts, basic raw materials, basic technology and equipment. At present, high-end supporting parts is the main letdown in the development of construction machinery industry, and many enterprises are increasing investment in research and developing about it, the government also provides a wide range of support on it. We hope that the progress made through the exhibition will be displayed, actively publicized, and promote the popularization and application of these new high-end components.

5. Intelligent and Industrial Internet Exhibition Area

The intelligent area mainly displays intelligent manufacturing technology and equipment, intelligent construction machinery, intelligent technology and functional parts, control systems and components, as well as industrial Internet technology and application scenarios, construction machinery big data, Internet of Things applications. According to our research on users, the demand for intelligent construction machinery in the construction field is urgent and strong, and the technology we currently possess still needs to be further enhanced to meet users' needs for unmanned, modular assisted operation and intelligent safety protection technology. During the "14^th Five-Year Plan" period, the development of intelligent construction machinery is an important development goal, and Association is also actively exploring various measures to promote intelligent construction machinery, and hopes to find more and better solutions through the exhibition.

6. Other Featured Exhibition Areas

There are also many other featured exhibition areas, such as outdoor comprehensive exhibition area, emergency rescue equipment & snow and ice equipment exhibition area, local key regional equipment exhibition area, commercial vehicles and logistics equipment exhibition area, construction machinery cultural experience area, intelligent and digital experience area, outdoor challenges, demonstration area and so on. Some of the exhibition areas are special features of BICES and continue to receive wide attention from visitors and exhibitors; some are improved and upgraded on the basis of the previous exhibition, hoping to achieve better results, with the advancement of the organization of the exhibition.
